Chris
Thomas (Lead Guitar):
Chris was born in South Africa in 1972.
He was inspired to play the bass from Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. He wasted no time in starting a metal band called Chapter 13 with other local musicians. After a year or two he quit the band due to pussywhipped reasons. He watched Chapter 13 become Debauchery who became the first successful Thrash/Death bands in South Africa. Chris then set out to start up another band and claim his fair share of fame that he had lost out on! He then joined up with Jamie Haigh, Lee Darby and Chris Gerhard to form Bludgeon. Due to drummer problems, Bludgeon never got a chance to show their potential power, and hence died! Chris' break came when he met Brett Morgan of Demacretia who was looking for a bassist and immediately Chris got the position. Demacretia too had its fair share of problems at first but now, Chris is enjoying his fair share of fame that he rightfully deserves. Chris' current faves are Avulsed and Fear Factory. His all time faves are Deicide, Cannible Corpse, Suffocation, Pantera, Machine Head and Iron Maiden.
